SODIUM NITRITE 98% INDUSTRY GRADE 
Property: White or a little buff fine crystal. The relative molecular weight is 69.0 and density is 2.168. It's no smell and a little saline taste, easy to be deliquescence and to dissolve in water. The melting point is 271ºCand decomposition temperature is 320ºC. It has the strong oxidizing property, as well as reducing property. It can slowly oxidize into sodium nitrite in the air, and will become diamino compound composed with ammonia under low temperature.
Application: It is mainly used as the raw material of productions of nitro compound and azo dyes etc. It is also used as mordant and bleacher for fabric dyeing, as well as metal heat treatment agent, 
early-strength admixture and antifreeze of cement.

Application

1. Sodium nitrite (NaNO2) is a chemical compound commonly used in fertilizers, food preservatives, smoke bombs, as a color fixative, dyes and pyrotechnics.
2. The main use of sodium nitrite is for the industrial production of organonitrogen compounds.   It is a reagent for conversion of amines into diazo compounds.
3. Sodium nitrite can be used as part of an intravenous mixture to treat cyanide poisoning. 
 

 

Packaging & Shipping

Storage and transportation: It should be stored in a ventilated, dry, cool and clean warehouse, and the packaging should be sealed and moisture-proof. It is not allowed to store and transport together with toxic substances and other polluting substances. During transportation, it shall be protected from rain and sun exposure. Handle with care during loading and unloading to prevent package damage.
