Magnetic materials
Due to their special superparamagnetism, magnetic iron oxide particles have broad application prospects in giant magnetoresistance, magnetic liquid and magnetic recording, soft magnetism, permanent magnetism, magneto-cooling, giant magnetoimpedance materials, magneto-optical devices, magnetic detectors, etc. Video tapes generally use needle-shaped iron or iron oxide magnetic ultrafine particles, while nano-iron oxide is a new type of magnetic recording material. Soft ferrite is widely used in radio communications, radio and television, automatic control, astronautics, radar navigation, measuring instruments, computers, printing, household appliances and biomedicine.

The activity and selectivity of the catalyst made of nano-α-Fe2O3 particles are higher than that of ordinary catalysts, and the catalyst has a long life and is easy to operate. Nano α-Fe2O3 has been directly used as a catalyst for the oxidation, reduction and synthesis of polymers, when it is used in petroleum refining, it can increase the cracking speed by 1~5 times, and the catalyst with it as a solid combustion agent can increase the combustion rate by 1~10 times compared with the combustion rate of ordinary combustion agent, which is very beneficial to the manufacture of high-performance rockets and missiles.
